HUMAN RIGHTS PROGRAM
Through its human right program, Dawaer aims at promoting human rights, non-discrimination and peaceful conflict resolution within non-formal education programs for children and youth, such as school clubs, summer camps, after school activities, scouts, Ministry of Social Affairs development centers, etc.
The program teaches children and youth about the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspires them to become advocates for tolerance and peace.
Dawaer uses interactive activities, fun games, theatre and music to incite the critical thinking of children and youth to challenge existing stereotypes, think about multiple identities and simulate activities to real life situations to acquire values and skills that promote cooperation, acceptance of diversity, fairness, inclusion, respect, responsibility and peaceful conflict resolution.
The program focuses on the peer to peer approach and operates on several levels;
